Later, the Muslims in the area gathered outside the mosque and protested strongly and came out on the streets, after which they kept the traffic jam in the area for several hours.

The protesters took down the hoardings of BJP leaders in the area and set them on fire, while the police lathi-charged them to disperse the protesters.

According to the report, the administration and the SP along with the city force reached the spot and held talks with the protestors and assured them of strict action against the elements involved in the incident, after which the protestors have dispersed.

On the other hand, the police have registered a case against unknown persons for the desecration of Holy Quran and started investigation.
