Mahmood Khan has said that the provincial government is trying to provide maximum relief to the tax payers.
According to the details, a meeting was held regarding the performance of Excise Department under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan.
While giving a briefing in the meeting, it was said that in the first four months of this financial year, one billion 18 crores of tax has been recovered, under the universal number plate project, universal number plates have been issued to 5000 users so far.
While giving a briefing, it was further said that the work on issuing 35,000 more universal number plates is in progress while a zero-tolerance policy against drugs has been adopted in the province.
While presiding over the meeting, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa directed to introduce e-system for tax collection under Excise Department.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan further said that the provincial government is trying to provide maximum relief to the tax payers, through the e-system various types of taxes can be paid at home.
