Dubai: Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has said that leaving the dollar free has sunk the country’s economy, and will balance the value of the dollar and the rupee.
He said this while addressing a function organized by Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Dubai.
Senator Ishaq Dar said that efforts will be made to devalue the dollar below Rs 200, but is now determined to improve the value of the rupee against the dollar.
The Federal Minister of Finance said that the dollar was left free in Pakistan, which caused a great loss to the economy. Due to the increase in the value of the dollar, the country’s debt had increased by four thousand billion rupees.
He said that Pakistan’s economy was destroyed in the last four years, Pakistan came close to becoming Sri Lanka instead of Singapore, and decided to change the government to save the country.
Speaking at the event organized by PML-N, Senator Ishaq Dar said that they are trying to give relief to the people, they are trying to control the fuel prices.
He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is implementing economic reforms to put the economy back on its feet, and will complete the IMF program.
Federal Minister of Finance Senator Ishaq Dar said that 32 to 34 billion dollars are needed this year, it is hoped that this amount will be collected, he has visited the Emirates on the invitation of the United Arab Emirates, he is returning to Pakistan this evening.
