The final match of the T20 World Cup Super 12 stage was played today between India and Zimbabwe at the ground in Melbourne, in which India defeated Zimbabwe.
In this match, India won the toss and decided to bat and set Zimbabwe a target of 187 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
On behalf of India, Surya Kumar Yadav played the highest innings of 61 not out, while KL Rahul scored 51 and Rairat Kohli scored 26 runs.
For Zimbabwe, Shaun Williams took 2 wickets while Richard Ngarwa and Blessing Mazarbani took one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Zimbabwe’s innings got off to a disappointing start and half their team returned to the pavilion for just 36 runs.
On behalf of Zimbabwe, Sikander Raza scored 34 runs and Ryan Brill played a resistant innings of 35 runs while captain Craig Irwin scored 13 runs and Shaun Williams got out with 11 runs.
The entire Zimbabwean team was bowled out for 115 runs in 17.2 overs after which India won by 71 runs.

For India, Ashwin took 3, Mohammad Shami and Hardik Pandya took 2, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar took one wicket.
It should be noted that India and Pakistan have qualified for the semi-finals in Group 2, while New Zealand and England have qualified from Group 1.
