In the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup today, Pakistan faced the Bangladesh team in which Pakistan has easily won and reached the semi-finals.
In this match, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat and gave Pakistan a target of 128 runs to win, which the national team achieved in 18.1 overs.
Bangladesh scored 127 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs while Najamul Hasan Shinto showed good batting from Bangladesh and scored 54 runs thanks to a half-century off 48 balls.
Apart from this, Soumya Sarkar returned to the pavilion by scoring 20 runs, while Atif Hussain remained not out by scoring 24 runs.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi once again bowled a successful bowling spell and managed to take 4 wickets while Shadab Khan took 2 wickets, Haris Rauf and Iftikhar Ahmed managed to take one wicket each.
Captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan started the opening for Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan got out by scoring 32 runs while Babar Azam scored 25 runs.
Mohammad Haris once again showed aggressive batting and managed to score 31 runs off 18 balls while Shaan Masood remained not out with 24 runs.
Pakistan achieved the set target in 18.1 overs for the loss of 5 wickets while Bangladesh’s Nisom Ahmed, Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Ibadat Hussain took one wicket each.
