Senate election, PP candidate has no opponent, administrator will be of MQM, Nasir Shah

KARACHI: MQM Pakistan has announced to withdraw its candidate in the Senate election in favor of Pakistan People’s Party.

This announcement was made in a media briefing after a meeting between PP Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Wasim Akhtar of MQM Pakistan at MQM Bahadurabad headquarters. On this occasion Syed Waqar Mehdi, the nominated candidate for the Senate election on behalf of PP, was also present.

Former Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said that the request of the PPP leadership was to withdraw the MQM candidate, the coordination committee has decided that tomorrow we will withdraw our candidate.

Waseem Akhtar said that there is a Senate election on December 8, Nasir Shah has come in this connection, it is hoped that Waqar Mehdi will become a senator and solve the problems of Sindh and Karachi.

Bilawal Bhutto will not resign from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, will be the mayor of Karachi.

Sindh Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said on this occasion that if MQM withdraws, then Waqar Mehdi will become a senator tomorrow, there was no other candidate other than MQM.

Nasir Hussain Shah said that the matter was final, whoever is nominated from MQM will be made the administrator of Karachi, in a day or two, the administrator of MQM will be appointed, the mayor has been empowered.
