Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Umar has revealed that Sarfraz Ahmed was ready to hand over the captaincy to Babar Azam if he agreed to join Quetta Gladiators.
According to the details, Babar Azam has parted ways with Karachi Kings and will now represent the new franchise Peshawar Zalmi.
Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Umar says that he wanted to keep the national team captain in his franchise but could not reach an agreement.
He said that if Babar Azam was a part of our team, we would have welcomed him, while Sarfaraz was ready to give up the leadership for him, but unfortunately the agreement was not possible with him.
He said that Naseem Shah has been released for PSL 8, who will now join the drafting of PSL.
He added that we will try to include the best players in our team, our aim has always been to give a platform to the players.
It should be noted that PSL 8 will be played in February and March next year while 17 matches for PSL 8 will be decided by a special statistical tool.
