Australian captain Pete Cummins has left his multi-million dollar IPL contract to represent his country.
Australian captain Pat Cummins has issued a statement on the social networking site regarding the next edition of IPL in which he has refused to play.
According to media reports, Pat Cummins signed a contract with IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders for 3 million Australian dollars, while he left the contract for 1.34 million dollars last season as well.
In a statement on Twitter, he said, “I have taken the difficult decision not to play IPL next year. The next 12 months are packed with Tests and ODIs, so I will rest for the Ashes and World Cup.” ‘.

In another tweet, he wrote that thanks to the Kolkata Knight Riders for understanding this while also thanking the team management and hoping for a quick comeback.

It should be noted that the Ashes series will be played before the World Cup in June 2023, while the ODI World Cup is to be played in India in October 2023.
