Lahore: A meeting of the PML-N’s parliamentary party has been convened to consult on bringing a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
The highly responsible sources of PML-N have said that in the meeting called under the chairmanship of Hamza Shehbaz, the leader of the opposition in the Punjab Assembly, consultations will be held regarding the Chief Minister of Punjab.
According to the sources, it will be considered in the meeting that Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi should be asked to take a vote of confidence from the House and no-confidence motion should not be brought immediately.
According to the sources, in the meeting of the parliamentary party called under the chairmanship of Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, all the constitutional and legal aspects regarding the motion of no confidence will be reviewed and there will be advice for deliberation.
According to the sources, in the meeting, a fresh legal consultation will also be held on the request for reconsideration of the Chief Minister election in the Supreme Court.
