Tanveer Ilyas has said that the municipal elections will be held as per the schedule.
According to the details, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan while talking to reporters during a one-day visit to Rawalkot said that there is no proposal of phased elections under consideration but we have options.
He said that people should continue to prepare for the elections, local elections are very important for the people of the state to participate in the affairs of the state.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas also said that our government is conducting the election after bearing all the difficulties, we were told election or government, then we accepted the option of election, we don’t want a government with rubber summit.
He said that our government is active for transparent elections and no opposition party will get a chance to raise a finger.
The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir said that the government of Azad Kashmir will be supported in all possible ways in the local elections, the government will not back down from its stand under any circumstances.
He also said that the opposition parties will not be allowed to run away from the field, the municipal elections will be held as per the schedule.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan further said that I want to tell those who want to escape from the election on the pretext of security, that providing security is the responsibility of the government and the Election Commission, they will provide it.
Special Assistant for Information Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nayar and other local leaders were also present on the occasion.
