It was stated in the petition that NAB has sought the record of the shares of RYK Sugar Mills. Summons notices were issued to Wajid Bhatti, Munir Hussain and others who were never shareholders of RYK Sugar Mills.

The petition stated that the FIA has completed all investigations in the Rahim Yar Khan Sugar Mills case and the Lahore High Court has dismissed the FIA’s case related to Rahim Yar Khan Sugar Mills.

It was stated in the statement that NAB also conducted an inquiry related to the same sugar mills for 20 years and also closed the inquiry. NAB has sent a summons notice just to harass the petitioners.

In the application, the position was adopted that NAB has sent the notice of summons mechanically and without using judicial mind and NAB has also sent notice for the character of the petitioner and his family.

In the petition, it was requested that the summon notices sent by NAB on October 20 and 27 should be declared illegal and nullified, and NAB should be stopped from the inquiry until the final decision on the petition.
