As soon as the incident was reported, the local police also reached, but the angry people started throwing stones at the police.
A heavy contingent of police under the leadership of DSP Manoj Ram reached Imamganj to disperse the angry protesters, after which peace was restored in the area.
Police recovered the charred body of the woman and sent it to Anugara Narayan Magadha Medical Hospital for post-mortem, while raids are on to arrest the accused.
