Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has challenged the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) summons notice in court.

In the petition filed by Imran Khan, the federal government and the FIA ​​have been made parties. In the petition, it was argued that the FIA ​​had sent a summons notice on October 31 to target political revenge.

The petition stated that the FIA ​​has started an inquiry to harass Imran Khan and an inquiry has been started against Imran Khan to benefit political opponents. No organization had any objection to tampering with party accounts.

It was held that the FIA ​​was not directed to investigate the accounts in the Prohibited Funding Decision and the Election Commission had not asked Imran Khan for details or explanation of the accounts. The Election Commission had only asked for the records of remittance of accounts.

The petition stated that the accounts of PTI Punjab were used for office expenses and it is the constitutional right of every political party to collect funds under the Constitution.

In the petition, it was requested that the inquiry into the allegation of prohibited funding should be quashed as illegal and the summoning notice issued to the FIA ​​on November 7 should also be quashed. The FIA ​​should be restrained from conducting the inquiry until the final decision on the application.

It should be noted that FIA has summoned Chairman PTI Imran Khan on November 7 in the prohibited funding case.

The FIA ​​also issued a summons notice to Imran Khan for the cipher investigation and Imran Khan was also summoned to the headquarters on November 3 for the investigation conducted by the FIA ​​regarding the cipher. The Chairman PTI was seriously injured in the attack on the Long March two days ago and was admitted to the hospital.
