Heavy rains in India, Chennai and Tamil Nadu, educational institutions closed

The life system has been paralyzed due to heavy rains in the Indian city of Chennai and Tamil Nadu, educational institutions have also been closed.

According to Indian media reports, it is raining heavily in many districts of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, due to heavy rain, holidays have been declared in schools and colleges in 7 districts of the state.

In Chennai including Ranipet, Vellore, Changalpattu, Vellopuram, Tiruvallur and Kanjipuram, schools and colleges have been instructed to close in view of the heavy rains.

Due to continuous heavy rain in Chennai, water has accumulated in various areas and roads are flooded at many places, making it difficult for people to evacuate.

Heavy rains in Tamil Nadu have left people’s lives in shambles, with the administration rushing into relief operations.

In view of the threat of heavy rain, the government has asked all the collectors to come to the field. Helpline numbers have also been released by the Municipal Corporation.
