ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has rejected the summary of providing 47 billion rupees for holding general elections.

Responsible sources have said in this context that the summary of providing 47 billion rupees for holding general elections was rejected in the meeting of ECC which was chaired by Federal Minister of Finance Senator Ishaq Dar.

In this regard, the sources say that the Election Commission of Pakistan had asked the government to provide 47 billion rupees for holding the general elections. The ECC has postponed the summary of the Election Commission till the next meeting.

In the meeting held by the ECC, the farmer package of Rs 1800 billion was approved and it was decided that agricultural loans of Rs 1802 billion will be provided to the farmers.
