Citizen who married wife’s niece fined – Hum News


The Lahore High Court fined 35,000 to a citizen who married the niece of his first wife and rejected his request for the recovery of his second wife.

Justice Anwar-ul-Haq Pannu of the Lahore High Court heard the petition of Mushtaq Ahmed, a citizen of Okara, in which he requested the recovery of his second wife.

During the hearing on the petition, the first wife of the petitioner Bilqis Bibi also appeared with the children.

The woman told the court that her husband had remarried without divorce and the girl he married is the niece of his first wife.

The court ordered the citizen Mushtaq Ahmed to pay a fine of one lakh rupees, on which the lawyer pleaded that the petitioner does not have the capacity to pay one lakh rupees.

This court imposed a fine of 35,000 and directed that the fine should be paid to the first wife immediately.

The petitioner’s lawyer said that the second wife wants to go with her husband, the court rejected this plea.

The court convinced that if someone wants to jump from the well, then the court will give permission. The court sent the second wife with her parents.
