China donates 1 lakh doses of hepatitis A vaccine to flood victims

ISLAMABAD: China has donated 100,000 doses of hepatitis A vaccine to Pakistan’s flood victims, the federal health minister says, adding that thousands of people are still living in relief camps in Sindh and Balochistan.

According to the details, the event was organized by the Federal Directorate of Immunization, in which 1 lakh doses of hepatitis A vaccine were donated by China to Pakistan.

Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel received the donation from Sinovac Chief Executive Officer Gao Chiang.

On this occasion, the health minister said that Pakistan-China friendship is higher than the Himalayas, deeper than the sea and sweeter than honey. China has supported Pakistan in every difficult hour.

He said that as a result of the floods, there has been a massive loss of life and property, thousands of people are still living in relief camps in Sindh and Balochistan.

The health minister further said that the donation of 1 lakh hepatitis A vaccine is the best gift for the flood victims.
