Boycott Usurious Institutions, Mufti Taqi Usmani – Hum News

KARACHI: Mufti Taqi Usmani has said that the people should boycott the interest-dealing institutions.

Mufti Taqi Usmani while addressing the seminar on abolition of interest said that he welcomes the court decision on abolition of interest and there is no need for a recommendation commission.

He said that an empowered task force is needed to implement the recommendations and people should boycott the usurious institutions. Ideological differences should be confined to academic circles.

Mufti Taqi Usmani said that a unanimous voice should be raised to abolish interest while the government should make practical efforts to abolish interest and implement interest-free banking in practice.

He said that the forum demands practical steps to end the interest and boycott the banks that do not withdraw appeals against the end of interest. 3 courts of the country have given judgments against usury.

Mufti Taqi Usmani said that a division should be established in the Ministry of Finance for interest-free system and a task force should be formed in the Ministry of Finance to eliminate interest.
