Islamabad: The federal government has applied to withdraw the appeal filed against the decision of the Sharia court against usury.
Federal government’s lawyer Salman Raja filed a petition in the Supreme Court to withdraw the appeal against the decision against interest.
In the petition filed by the federal government, it is requested that the appeal against the decision of the Sharia Court be dismissed on the ground of withdrawal.

It should be noted that the Federal Shariah Court had ordered the abolition of the usurious system, but the State Bank filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against this decision, however, on November 9, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced the withdrawal of the appeal.
Ishaq Dar said that he will take the interest-free system forward in Pakistan.
