Another 4-day physical remand of Azam Swati approved


Sessions Court Islamabad has extended the physical remand of PTI leader Azam Swati till December 3. The request not to produce Azam Swati in the court has been accepted.

A case related to tweets and rhetoric against institutions was heard in Sessions Court Islamabad. FIA’s counsel requested that FIA be remanded for another six days.

The lawyer FIA said that further investigation is yet to be done regarding the mobile and tweet account. Physical remand is required. The court approved the physical remand of Azam Swati for another four days.

PTI leader Azam Swati’s lawyer Babar Awan requested the court not to produce Azam Swati due to security concerns.

The court granted the request for exemption from appearance and adjourned the hearing. Judge Muhammad Bashir said that Azam Swati should not be presented in court until the next order. Azam Swati should be presented in court through video link.
