A delegation of Dairy Farmers Association met with Chief Minister Punjab


A delegation of Dairy Farmers Association met Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi in which the delegation informed Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi about the problems of livestock and dairy farming.

Chaudhry Parvaizalhi gave on-the-spot instructions for immediate resolution of the problems and Parvaizalhi imposed a ban on inter-provincial transportation of maize in Punjab.

He said that maize will not be taken out of the province to meet the needs of livestock, especially poultry industry and dairy farming in Punjab, the ban will benefit the local poultry industry of Punjab.

Chaudhry Pervaizalhi also said that instructions have been issued to the DPOs and Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts to stop the movement of maize on the internal and external routes of Punjab.

He said that the Punjab government will prepare locally effective vaccines to protect animals from diseases and the private sector should also be involved in this.

Chief Minister Punjab gave the task of preparation of local vaccine to the Vice Chancellor of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences within 6 months and said that the animals will be vaccinated regularly every year to protect them from various diseases.

Parvaizalhi instructed the Livestock Department to prepare a timetable for vaccination of diseases and said that the staff of the Livestock Department should visit the field regularly and regularly monitor the animals for diseases.

He said that the Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Board will be activated, the board will be reconstituted and experts will be included.

Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaizalhi further said that consultants will be hired from local universities for the promotion of livestock and dairy farming, the federal government will not do anything, the Punjab government will also buy vaccines from abroad.

Provincial Livestock Minister Sardar Shahabuddin, Rasikh Elahi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Muhammad Khan Bhatti, former President of Bank of Punjab Hamish Khan, Secretaries Livestock, Food, Vice Chancellor of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Professor Dr. Naseem Ahmed, DG Livestock (Production) ) and concerned authorities were also present on the occasion.

The delegation included Rashid Haleem of Ever Fresh Farms, Anjum Zafar of Eastern Dairies, Faizan Elahi of Sapphire Dairies, Muhammad Kaleem of Athoor Limited and Haroon MK Lodhi of Corporate Dairy Farmers Association.
