300 pistols are smuggled in Karachi every day – Hum News

KARACHI: It has been revealed that 300 pistols are smuggled in Shahr Quaid every day for which licenses are also obtained.

CTD Superintendent Raja Umar Khattab said in a conversation with the media that a group of arms smugglers and sellers has been caught through social media, who used to buy and sell arms through WhatsApp and Facebook.

He said that 4 suspects involved in arms smuggling have been arrested and 18 pistols of very high quality have been recovered. Arms were smuggled online from Peshawar to Karachi.

Raja Umar Khattab said that the accused bring illegal weapons to Karachi in various ways and it has been revealed that the weapons and their license are also found but the license is fake.

He said that groups involved in arms smuggling deliver around 300 pistols to Karachi in a day while the smugglers are systematically selling arms and fake licenses.
